For Terry Fernandez, happiness has always been about a state of mind, not a physical place. Though born in Kuwait to Indian parents, Fernandez grew up in the vibrant landscape of the United Arab Emirates before making the move to California post-COVID. This global upbringing shaped his open-minded approach to life, never tied to one location but always embracing the experiences that spark personal growth and understanding.
Now in his mid-40s, Terry has come to see himselfs as a modern-day "bedouin," defined by Oxford as a nomadic Arab of the desert. For most of his life, Terry has been in a constant state of transition, moving between places, cultures, and experiences. “Terry’s innate ability to cross cultural boundaries, lines, and presumptions makes him a great advocate for his real estate clients,” says Jeff Yarbrough of Jeff Yarbrough Group.
For Terry, It’s a career that, in many ways, balances his nomadic spirit—building something permanent for others, while finding purpose in what feels like home at last. In a beautiful twist of fate, real estate has become the anchor. Says Terry: “As a Realtor, I find deep fulfillment in helping others find their own place to create lasting memories.”
